Merge Up — slot review and demo

Merging mechanic and cluster pays

In Merge Up, winning combinations are formed from clusters — groups of four or more identical symbols positioned adjacent to each other. After a payout, part of the cluster symbols disappear, while the rest transform into symbols of the next level. There are nine main symbol levels in the game plus a scatter as the tenth. Win size depends on the symbol level and the number of symbols in the cluster.

Cell multipliers, bombs and free spins

Cells in which a winning cluster has formed receive a marker. If a combination forms again in the same cell, it brings a ×2 multiplier, which doubles with each new win — up to ×128 maximum in a single cell. Multiple multipliers in one cluster are added together. When eighth-level symbols merge into a cluster, a bomb symbol appears. The bomb explodes, destroying eight surrounding symbols, increasing cell multipliers by one stage (for example, ×2 becomes ×4) and turns into a scatter. Three, four, five or six scatters trigger 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins respectively. During free spins, marked cells and their multipliers are retained until the end of the round, and landing three scatters in one spin adds five additional spins.

Three bonus buy options

The slot offers a bonus round purchase feature with three options: standard free spins, free spins with a starting ×2 multiplier in each cell, or free spins with three to nine starting bombs on the reels, which will generate multipliers and carry them into the bonus round. There is also a Chance x2 option — it slightly increases the bet and raises the chances of entering the bonus game, but is disabled when bonus buy is activated.
