Le Bandit — slot review and demo

Raccoon with a crowbar in nocturnal Paris

Le Bandit unfolds in the underbelly of the French capital's urban life, where a raccoon named Smokey makes his living through pickpocketing and harbours a strange weakness for leprechaun hats. Hacksaw Gaming chose an atypical slot narrative: instead of glamorous views—dark streets, instead of romance—a hero with a crowbar. The 6×5 grid with cascades and cluster pays sets the pace: symbols disappear after each win, making room for new ones.

How golden squares and rainbows work

Le Bandit's mechanics are built on Super Cascades and Golden Squares. On a win, not only the symbols in the combination disappear, but all matching symbols on screen—the cascade continues as long as there are new matches. Each winning position is marked with a golden square. If a rainbow appears on the reels, all marked cells activate: coins drop into them (bronze x0.2–x4, silver x5–x20, gold up to x500), four-leaf clover multipliers (x2–x10), or Pot of Gold—a symbol that collects all visible coin values and other pots, then sums the result. Pots trigger from top to bottom and left to right, after which the squares activate again—the cycle can repeat several times in one spin.

Three levels of bonus rounds

In the base game, three free spins modes are available, triggered by different numbers of FS symbols. Luck of the Bandit (3 FS) gives a series of spins where golden squares remain highlighted between spins until a rainbow appears; retrigger—2 or 3 additional spins for 2 or 3 FS. All That Glitters is Gold (4 FS) starts with 12 spins: all golden squares persist and activate multiple times with each rainbow. Treasure at the End of the Rainbow (5 FS)—the highest level with 12 spins and a guaranteed rainbow on every spin; this is the only round that cannot be purchased through the Bonus Buy menu. All rounds support retriggers. BonusHunt FeatureSpins are also available—the bet increases 3×, and the bonus trigger chance increases 5×.
