Mellstroy was launched in 2024 and targets an international audience. The platform offers slots, live casino with real dealers, table games and a welcome package with bonus and free spins. The casino is available in browser version and as a downloadable client for desktop, fully optimised for mobile phones.
The platform may suit players looking for a wide selection of games and willing to work with international operators. However, it is important to understand the legal risks — below we examine in detail the casino's status in Latvia and the associated restrictions.
Legal status of Mellstroy in Latvia
Mellstroy does not hold a licence for interactive gambling from the State Revenue Service of Latvia (VID). This means the casino is not a licensed operator in Latvia and operates as an offshore platform. Under current Latvian law (Azartspēļu un izložu likums), participation in interactive gambling organised in Latvia without a VID licence is prohibited; violation carries a fine of €70 to €350 for individuals.
The licence and operator details can be checked at the bottom of the casino website (typically an offshore licence, such as Curaçao). The register of licensed organisers is published on the VID website — check whether Mellstroy is listed there before registering.
Risks for players from Latvia:
- VID may block access to the casino site — the list of blocked domains is published on the regulator's website.
- Your bank may decline payment to an unlicensed gambling site.
- The VID register of self-excluded persons (pašatteikušos personu reģistrs) does not apply to offshore platforms — if you have entered yourself in the register, Mellstroy will not be aware of this.
- In the event of a dispute with the casino, the Latvian regulator cannot assist you — protection extends only to licensed operators.
Playing at online casinos is permitted from age 18. More detailed information about gambling regulation in Latvia can be found in the licences section.
Registration and verification
To create an account on the Mellstroy site you will need to provide an email address, choose a password and confirm that you are 18 or over. Some casinos request a telephone number and basic personal details at the registration stage.
Identity verification is mandatory before the first withdrawal. The casino will ask you to upload a scan or photograph of an identity document (passport, ID card) and proof of address (utility bill, bank statement). Sometimes a selfie with the document is required. Verification may take from several hours to several days — timescales depend on support team workload.
Without completed verification, withdrawal of funds is not available. Upload documents immediately after registration to avoid delays when withdrawing winnings.
Welcome bonus and promotions
According to the casino listing, Mellstroy offers a welcome bonus of 660%+400FS (free spins). This is an offer for new players — typically the bonus is credited on the first deposit or distributed across several account top-ups.
Bonus terms (wagering, playthrough period, maximum stake, games eligible for wagering) are published in the promotion rules on the casino site. These terms change regularly — read the current version before activating the bonus. Wagering and timescales are not specified in the listing — check the promotion page.
Free spins are usually awarded on specific slots. Winnings from free spins are also subject to wagering according to the rules.
In addition to the welcome package, the casino may offer regular promotions for existing players, cashback, tournaments and a loyalty programme. See the current list of bonuses in the 'Promotions' section on the Mellstroy site. General information about types of bonuses can be found in our bonuses section.
Games: slots, live casino, table games
Mellstroy offers players from Latvia slots, live casino and classic table games. The exact number of games and list of providers is not specified in the listing data — view the range in the casino lobby.
Slots are represented by video slots of various themes and mechanics: classic machines, slots with bonus rounds, jackpots, cascading reels. Games launch in browser or downloadable client.
The live casino section includes games with real dealers: roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker. Broadcasts stream from studios in real time, bets are accepted live. The interface allows you to communicate with the dealer and other players via chat.
Table games — roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker in RNG versions (result determined by random number generator). These games run faster than live versions and do not require connection to a video stream.
Information about specific providers and their games can be found in the game description or 'About the casino' section on the Mellstroy site.
Payment methods for players from Latvia
Mellstroy accepts bank cards, e-wallets and cryptocurrency. The specific set of methods, limits and fees can be found in the 'Cashier' or 'Payments' section of your personal account — they may differ for different countries.
Bank cards Visa and MasterCard are a standard method for deposit and withdrawal. Bear in mind that major Latvian banks (Swedbank, SEB, Citadele, Luminor) may decline payment to an unlicensed gambling site. If your card does not work, try an e-wallet.
E-wallets and services: Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity, Paysera, Revolut. Some of these methods support rapid withdrawal. Paysafecard is a prepaid voucher, suitable for deposit only.
Trustly and Rapid Transfer allow you to transfer money directly from online banking, bypassing card details entry. Apple Pay and Google Pay are methods to pay with a linked card from your phone.
Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether (USDT) and other coins. The casino may use a payment gateway such as PayCryptos to process crypto payments. Cryptocurrency provides anonymity and rapid transfers, but the exchange rate is volatile.
Account currency is typically euro; US dollars and cryptocurrencies may also be available. Check the list of currencies at registration.
Withdrawal of funds is available after identity verification is completed. Processing times and fees depend on the chosen method — exact terms are stated in the casino rules.
Mobile and downloadable versions
Mellstroy is fully optimised for mobile devices. The site opens in a smartphone or tablet browser (iOS, Android) and adapts to screen size. All functions — registration, deposit, games, withdrawal — are available in the mobile version.
The casino also offers a downloadable version for desktop (Windows, possibly macOS). The client installs on the hard drive and launches as a separate programme. The downloadable version may run faster than the browser version and have extended functionality — the download link is usually placed on the site homepage.
Separate mobile applications for iOS and Android are not mentioned in the listing data — if they exist, look for them on the casino site or in app stores.
Customer support
Mellstroy support is available via online chat on the site and by email. Check the chat operating hours and languages of communication in the 'Contacts' or 'Support' section. International casinos typically offer support in English; Russian and Latvian may be available depending on team composition.
Before contacting support, check the FAQ (frequently asked questions) section — it contains answers to standard questions about registration, deposit, bonuses and withdrawal.
