Penalty Shoot Out: Super Spin — slot review and demo

Football theme on five reels

Penalty Shoot Out: Super Spin takes the player onto a football pitch, where the outcome of a round depends on the symbols on five reels. Evoplay used a sports theme to build the game around penalties and bonus rounds with multipliers. Visually, the slot is built on the atmosphere of a stadium, but the core of the mechanics is the Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbols, each of which is responsible for its own function.

Bonus rounds, free spins and jackpots

Wild appears on reels 2–5 and substitutes for regular symbols, but not Scatter and Bonus. Three Scatters on positions 2, 3 and 4 trigger eight free spins, in which only Wild, Scatter, Bonus and high-value symbols remain; a new set of three Scatters adds another eight spins. Six or more Bonus symbols activate the bonus game: each symbol carries a random multiplier from 1x to 14x the bet, the starting counter is three spins, any new Bonus resets it back to three. Regular reels are replaced by a grid of Bonus and empty cells, landed symbols are locked until the end of the round. The game ends when the spins run out or all 15 positions are filled—the total payout is the sum of all multipliers. Inside the bonus round, three fixed jackpots are available: Mini—30x, Major—150x, Grand—1000x the bet. If the round ended without a win, but there is already at least one Bonus on the screen, a random event may trigger—five Bonus symbols with random values appear on the grid and instantly activate the bonus game. The Bonus Buy feature allows you to buy eight free spins for 23x or the bonus round for 43x the bet.

95.9% RTP and high volatility

The stated RTP is 95.9%, volatility is high: wins are rare but can be large, especially when filling all cells in the bonus game or hitting a jackpot. The grid is five reels; the provider does not specify the exact number of rows. The maximum multiplier is formed in the bonus round, where the sum of all Bonus symbols and jackpots determines the final payout. Before playing for money, it is worth checking the rules (paytable) with a specific operator—sometimes RTP and bet settings differ.
