Minesweeper — review and demo

Minesweeper mechanics: step by step through the minefield

The playing field is a green grid with hidden mines underneath. The goal is to move from one edge to the other in a set number of moves (from 3 to 15). Each move covers 2 to 6 cells, one of which contains a bomb. Choosing a safe cell moves you forward and increases the multiplier; stepping on a mine ends the round. The Collect function lets you take your win at any time.

Field settings and maximum multiplier

The field size in Minesweeper is adjustable: horizontally from 3 to 15 cells, vertically from 2 to 6. The larger the grid, the higher the risk and potential win. The maximum multiplier reaches ×15.11 — a modest figure compared to slots, but low volatility ensures frequent payouts. The game's design adds excitement: the juicy "BOOM" sound and light smoke on explosion make the process visual even when you lose.

RTP and characteristics

The return rate of 98.4% is one of the highest among BGaming games and casual genres in general. Low volatility means wins come regularly, though in small amounts. The game was released in April 2016 and remains popular thanks to its simplicity and nostalgia for the classic Minesweeper.
